Dedicated to the memory of Peter Barlow

On Sunday 24th November 2024, Peter sadly passed away, just over a year after his beloved wife, Marion.  He was 89.

Peter was an amazing man, a truly talented artist with a warm and generous heart.  He spent a lot of his life helping others and was a very caring man.

If you wish to visit Peter in the Chapel of Rest before the funeral at Bennetts Funeral Directors, Brentwood, please give them a call to arrange an appointment on 01277 887101.

If you wish to send any flower tributes for the funeral these can be sent to Bennetts Funeral Directors, Brentwood, the evening before the funeral.

If you would like to make a donation, we would ask this to be to either The Brentwood Catholic Children's Society or CAFOD.  Both charities were very close to Peter and Marion's hearts.

This site is a tribute to Peter Barlow. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Today we all celebrated your life and prayed together with friends, family and love ones that you will pass over so that you can be with your wife, Marion, our mother and grandmother. Please send her our love and tell her we all miss her as we will miss you.

"Indecisive there’s a lot of things drifting in my mind, and the right words to justify them I can’t seem to find there's a lot of questions with answers I have yet to seek, I see choices around but troubled to pick then there's this heart and mind which quarrels every time, now lost in thoughts I'm torn in which to side" Dad, it was clear in your remaining months with us that you struggled and strayed from the pathway you set out together with your beloved wife and my dearest mother when you were both alive. I hope you find your beloved wife, see the light, and return to that pathway once again. ❤️

Dad, as I am typing this I can hear you say 'do you want the light on?' I wish I could hear you say that to me now. You taught me to love, to care, to think how others feel that are less fortunate than you and I know those lessons have helped me to get through so many difficult times and to try and be strong for you when you needed it most. Every day you told me that you loved me and I miss you so much. I hope you have plenty of hankerchiefs, Mum by your side, enjoying music and good food and life together once more. I hope that now you can see and that darkness you endured has lifted so you can draw once again. I love you Dad. Love Lynette xx
